Snow Day

Okay, so it is not really a "snow day", but it DID snow today. We actually had to shovel the driveway (Bill's first time) and buy Lyndsey a pair of snow pants (not easy in mid January). We warned the kids that they had to put on whatever I wanted them to wear before they went out. Lyndsey got to wear a very nice turtle neck and princess sweatshirt, pants and layered socks...which was hard enough to get on her because for some reason she does not believe in the "layered approach". Then, God forbid, I asked her to put oon BLACK snowpants. We almost didn't get to go outside. But once she conceded, the kids had a blast outside, and Bill and I got the driveway shoveled. Everyone got cold and wet. We went in to have hot chocolate, but not before Lyndsey ripped off her clothes and changed into something more fashionable!

Basketball Star Brad

Brad started basketball this year. He is on a church league. His team is the sparrows. His first game starts next week. He has improved quite a bit since starting and got a basketball from Santa. But all I keep envisioning is the Raymoond episode where Rays boys were running down the court with there arms through the legs of their pants acting goofy. We will see. I will keep you posted.

Lyndsey's Birthday Party

After we got over the hurdle of convincing Lyndsey that just because you celebrate your birthday twice does not mean you turn 5 at the second celebration. We had 5 little friends over here for a Princess birthday party with one Prince (Brad). We had a blast. I made a Castle cake, we played Princess and the pea and pin the kiss on the frog. Everyone had a great time, and slept well that night!

New Years Day Football

Brad's favorite part of the whole trip to Florida was playing football with the boys (Shane, Ryan, Sam, Tripp, Bill and Gerald) in the backyard. Of course Lyndsey and I were the cheerleaders, until she decided at half time she wanted a in on the action.

Brad's New Obsession

I guess Brad does take after his Daddy. The only thing he wanted for Christmas was a real football and ESPN Shot Block Basketball! Santa obliged and brought both! Here he is Florida playing football with his cousin Sam.

Lyndsey's 4th Birthday

We spent Lyndsey's 4th Birthday down in Florida. He grandma and aunt were so great to decorate the golf like like her own Princess Carriage! She got to ride all over town in the Princess carriage and the stinky boys had to too, then we had a Dora birthday with cake and ice cream.

Just a quick glimpse of Lyndsey at her dance class. She has been dancing for 2 years! Despite the fact that she is turned the opposite direction as all the other students (we are not really sure why) she is actually doing pretty good.
