The Zoo

Lyndsey's class took a field trip to the zoo. This is Lyndsey and her friend, Calista. They had a great time seeing the monkeys, the falingos (Lyndsey's pronunciation of those tall pink birds), turtles, kangaroos and the manatees. Of course we had to stop at the playground. By the time we had to leave to pick up Brad, Lyndsey was in rare form...complaining she was tired, but did not want to leave! By the way, this picture is a rare event. She actually wore something Mommy picked out for her!

Midwest weather

I have heard it said that if you don't like the weather in the midwest, wait a day. Last week and early this week it was beautiful. It got up to 80+ on Tuesday. I was even tempted to let the kids run through the sprinkler! On such a beautiful day, the kids went to the park and went swinging. The VERY NEXT day, after an EXTREMELY windy night, it snowed. I kid you not. The high temperature dropped more than 50 degrees overnight. And not only did it snow it actually accumulated on the ground...now, it did not stay for long, but it is still cold 3 days later with snow off and on.

Brad's 6!

My little boy is 6! Can you believe it. And following in his Daddy's steps he now eats, breathes and sleeps sports. For those of you who know, Brad knows all the states of the USA and most of the capitals. When Mom asked him a state a while ago, apparently, he said he can't remember because he is too busy learning sports stuff! What is you favorite team? Try answering this multiple times a day for at least a month. There are only so many teams I can think of! I made the cake all by myself by the way!

Basketball Brad

Brad started basketball this year with a local church league. He really improved over the season and plays all the time now. Check out his latest video.
