Lyndsey Language

Lyndsey has her own language. she always had. It is very similar to our language, and with a little thought, you can usually figure out the meaning of the words, but I am going to start a blog dictionary of her words:

Instaguize: to Recognize; used in a sentence: "Brad do you instaguize that picture?"
Graceful: tempting, good; used in a sentence: "I am looking for something graceful to eat"

And on another note. She is now requesting high fives for every meal I make that she likes. "Mom, high fives for the delicious fish sticks!" "Mom, high fives for the great milk!" You, of course have to give high fives for everything she says.

Lyndsey's Birthday

How many other kids do you know have 2-3 Christmas and birthday celebrations each year. One of these days, I will learn to only have one! Lyndsey got to celebrate her birthday in Florida at a local restaurant, then we had a birthday dinner celebration on her real birthday, then her birthday party with her friends a week later. She decided to have a "pretend" sleepover party. All the girls were to come in their pajamas and bring a sleeping bag, pillow and a stuffed animal. We painted nails, danced, watched High School Musical, and pizza and cupcakes and did some crafts and then all the girls went home at eight. We had 9 little girls here including Lyndsey. Some parents thought I was crazy, but it really went quite well and the girls had a blast.

Christmas in Florida

We flew on skybus once again to St. Augustine for Christmas. A discount airline based in Columbus that only flies into the smaller market seemed to have been made just for us. No other airline flies non-stop to Jacksonville or St. Augustine, and this one flies right into the very tiny St. Augustine airport. It was running an hour late each way, but I figure, with the layover and the drive from Jacksonville, even if another airline was on ime, it still would have taken us longer. We had a good time in Florida. Brad got to go to his first professional football game (The Jaguar's). Uncle Gerald got Brad, Tripp and Uncle Bill box seats! So now, of course, Brad will think that all professional games will include all the grapes and cookies you can eat and cushy seats! The kids got some great presents and got to spend time with their cousins! This is a picture of the kids at the dock at Oscars.

Self Portraits

Both the kids got Fisher Price Digital Camera's for Christmas. They are real digital cameras in a kid tough case, although not great resolutions. I believe it is one of their favorite gifts. It is really interesting to see what they see. I got some very interesting pictures of me, my house and Bill. Surprisingly, we are quite a bit taller than them, they don't mind taking pictures of dirt room and now I have a complete photo essay of the kids bathroom...EVERYTHING in the bathroom! The toilet, sink, linen closet, under the sink, garbage can, bathtub, stool, even the toothpaste! He are two self portraits taken by the kids.
